Francophone economic cooperation: in the room with the Alliance des Patronats Francophones
Embassy of Tunisia, Paris · January 2026
The Francophone world has its own distinct architecture of economic power - its own employer federations, its own multilateral institutions, its own rhythms of private sector cooperation across more than 80 countries. For TTC, whose work sits precisely at the intersection of culture, education, and economic development, this is a conversation we are deeply embedded in.
In January 2026, we joined an invitation-only convening of the Francophone world's principal employers' federations, hosted at the Embassy of Tunisia in Paris. The gathering brought together the people shaping the agenda on public-private partnership, entrepreneur mobility, and economic cooperation across the OIF space.
We left Paris with deepened relationships and a sharper sense of the opportunity ahead. The Alliance des Patronats Francophones represents the organised private sector across this entire ecosystem.
Attendees included Louise Mushikiwabo (Secretary-General, OIF), Éléonore Caroit (Minister Delegate for Francophonie, France), Ahmed Cissé (President, Alliance des Patronats Francophones), Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux (former President, MEDEF), Patrick Martin (President, MEDEF) and H.E. Dhia Khaled (Ambassador of Tunisia to France).
